Anita grew up riding in the mountains near Lillooet British Columbia. Although she has a strong admiration for horses of all breeds, her favorite is Arabian. Competent in both English and western riding, Anita has successfully shown at local and regional levels.  She has worked as a trail guide and competed in endurance riding.

Anita’s passion for horses is shared with her students through her teaching.  Anita teaches her students the fundamental mechanics of riding as well as understanding horse behavior. This helps create a kind and willing partnership between the horse and rider.

• Shown at Arabian Western Canada Regionals -Western Pleasure
• Ontario Equestrian Federation/Equine Canada Western Instructor Certification in 2007
• Certified Mounted Search and Rescue Member
• Equine First Aid Certification

In Anita’s training program, every horse learns a strong foundation from groundwork, and becomes a safe, soft and willing partner under saddle.

In her spare time, Anita enjoys small hikes with her dogs, reading the occasional book and writing poetry.  She is an active member of the local search and rescue team.
